Delete your account
You can delete your PricePing account in the app or request deletion by email. No app installation or sign-in is required to read this page or send a request.
Delete in the app
- Open PricePing and go to the Account tab.
- Choose Delete account.
- Read the warning and confirm. On iOS, type DELETE and tap Delete. On Android, choose Continue, then Delete account in the second confirmation.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Wait for the app to confirm that deletion succeeded.
Request deletion by email
Email [email protected] with the subject “PricePing account deletion request”. Include the email address associated with your PricePing account and say that you want your account and associated data deleted. You can use your own email service if the link does not open one.
Before carrying out a manual deletion, we need to verify that you own the account. Sending a request does not itself delete the account. Do not send passwords or payment details.
If you use an anonymous account without a linked email address, use in-app deletion while you still have access. If you cannot access the app, or cannot identify the account email, contact [email protected] for ownership-verification assistance. An email address alone may not identify an anonymous account.
What deletion removes
Account deletion removes your PricePing account and profile, tracked products and their price history, alerts, notification tokens, saved purchases and savings, and our subscription record. It also removes account-linked access tokens and import records, and our email bounce and complaint records for your account email address.
What may remain
As described in our Privacy Policy, information may be retained where needed for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons. We ask PostHog to erase your person record; underlying analytics events remain attached to an account id that no longer belongs to an account. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat retain their own purchase records under their applicable policies and requirements; deleting your PricePing account does not erase those records.
The 30-day holding period for tracked product data after a subscription expires is a separate process. It is not a waiting period for account deletion.
Cancel subscriptions separately
Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancel through the store where you purchased it: Apple subscriptions in iOS Settings, or Google Play subscriptions in Google Play. PricePing availability varies by platform and store.
