Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or using PricePing, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. PricePing is operated by Hani Al Anani, an individual based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. “PricePing,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean that operator.

2. The service

PricePing tracks the price of product pages you choose and tells you when the price drops. You add product links, see price history, set a price alert, and get a notification when something you track gets cheaper.

You can use the PricePing iOS app and this website to sign in and see your tracked products and price history. Some features, such as adding or editing products from the website, may be limited or withdrawn once the iOS app is generally available. Your plan may limit how many products you can track at once.

You can also tell the app you bought a product and type in the price you paid. PricePing records that against the first price it tracked for the product and adds the difference to your running total, converting between currencies where needed. This total is built from what you type. We do not verify it with the store, and it is not a statement of account, a refund entitlement, or a promise of any kind.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features as the service develops.

3. Accounts

You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and should tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not create an account for someone else without permission, impersonate another person, or use another person’s account.

4. Product links and user content

You keep ownership of information you submit, including product links and alert settings. You give PricePing the limited permission needed to host, process, analyze, and display that information to provide the service. You must have the right to submit the links and information you provide.

You must not:

• Use PricePing unlawfully or to violate a store’s terms or another person’s rights.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or bypass limits or security controls.
• Submit malicious code, deceptive links, or information that you do not have permission to use.
• Use automated access in a way that damages the service or a third-party store.

5. Subscriptions and billing

PricePing offers both free and paid access. Your plan may limit how many products you can track and how often they are checked. Paid subscriptions are sold through Apple’s App Store and managed for us by RevenueCat; there is no separate purchase on this website.

Plans, prices, billing periods, and any free-trial period change over time. The ones shown to you on the purchase screen at the moment you subscribe, in your own currency and storefront, are the ones that apply to you.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Where a plan includes a free trial, the trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel first. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription at any time in the Subscriptions section of your iOS device settings. Payment is taken by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s own terms. We cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.

When a paid subscription expires, price checks pause immediately. PricePing holds your tracked products, their price history, and product alerts for 30 days. If you do not renew by the stated deadline, we permanently delete that held product data. Your PricePing account and saved purchases and savings remain. This subscription-expiration process is separate from deleting your full account under Section 11.

6. Price checks, accuracy, and notifications

PricePing checks prices two ways: from your own phone, in the background, and from our servers. Prices are read from the store’s own public product page. Active products are checked at least once every 24 hours. How much more often than that depends on your plan, your device permissions, iOS background behaviour, and network availability. We do not promise a particular notification delivery time.

Some stores block automated reading, change their pages, or show different prices in different countries. A check may therefore be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable, and a product may stop being trackable. Some Amazon pages can only be read from your device, in the marketplace your device can buy from. A page that will not ship to your location may show no price at all.

Push and email notifications are sent when your settings and the available data support them. PricePing does not guarantee that a product will remain available or that an alert will arrive before the price changes again.

7. Browser extension

PricePing offers an optional Chrome extension that sends a product page you are viewing to your PricePing account. It authenticates with an access token you create on the website’s settings page. We store only a one-way hash of that token, so it is shown to you once and cannot be recovered afterwards. Keep it private: anyone holding it can add products to your account. You can revoke a token at any time from the same page.

8. Third-party services

PricePing depends on third-party services, including the stores whose pages you track, Apple and Google for sign-in, Apple and RevenueCat for subscriptions, PostHog for product analytics, Supabase for accounts and data, Expo for push notifications and app updates, Render for hosting, Cloudflare for delivering this website, Zyte and Firecrawl for reading store pages, Inngest for scheduled checks, Resend for email, and open.er-api.com for currency exchange rates. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for a third party’s content, availability, policies, or actions.

9. Price and product information

PricePing is a monitoring tool, not a seller or marketplace. Product descriptions, stock, shipping, taxes, currency conversions, prices, and checkout terms belong to the relevant store. Always confirm the final price and terms with the store before purchasing.

10. Intellectual property

PricePing and its software, branding, design, and original content are owned by PricePing or the relevant licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal, revocable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership to you. You may not copy, resell, or commercially exploit PricePing except with written permission.

11. Deleting your account, suspension, and termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Account tab in the app. Deletion takes effect immediately and removes your account, tracked products, price history, alerts, notification tokens, and your recorded purchases and savings total. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel that separately in the Subscriptions section of your iOS device settings, before or after you delete. Data handling on deletion is described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create risk for the service or others, fail to pay, or if we need to protect the service or comply with law. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, PricePing is provided on an “as available” basis without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, or continued price of information obtained from third-party stores.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PricePing will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for a purchase decision made using a price, alert, or product detail shown by PricePing. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits rights that apply to you under mandatory consumer law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as PricePing changes. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are intended to be governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai, without removing any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
