Disclosure: PricePing makes this page. Keepa is the better choice for many Amazon shoppers and for Amazon sellers, and we say where. Facts about Keepa come from its App Store listing and its website (see Sources); check them before you choose.
The short answer
The main reason to look past Keepa is that it only tracks Amazon. PricePing tracks Amazon plus almost any other online store (Nike, Zara, Uniqlo, Shopify shops and more) in one list on your iPhone, with its own alert for each product. Stay with Keepa if you want years of Amazon price history, sales rank or Buy Box data: PricePing has none of that.
What Keepa does well
- It is free for shoppers. Its website offers price history, price-drop alerts and deals with no account needed.
- Its free iPhone app charts price history for over 7 billion Amazon products, covering new, used and Warehouse Deals prices, and you can zoom out across years.
- It shows seller data: sales rank, Buy Box, offer counts, and rating and review history. Keepa Pro, aimed at sellers, adds more tools and history back to 2011.
- It alerts you when a price drops to your target or a product is back in stock, by email, web push, Telegram, RSS or its iOS and Android apps.
- Its app has a barcode scanner for checking Amazon prices in a shop.
Why people look for a Keepa alternative
- It only tracks Amazon. Keepa covers 11 Amazon marketplaces. Products from Zara, Nike or a brand’s own store are outside it.
- It is built around data. The charts carry a lot of seller-oriented detail, which is more than some shoppers want when they only need to know when to buy.
- They want one list. If half your wishlist is on Amazon and half is elsewhere, one app for all of it is simpler than one app per store.

How PricePing works on iPhone
- Open the product in Safari, the Amazon app or any store’s app.
- Tap Share and choose PricePing, or paste the link in the app. The product goes into your Watching list.

PricePing’s limits, honestly
- It is a subscription with no free tier. Monthly plans start with a 7-day free trial; yearly plans don’t have one.
- It is iPhone only for now. Android is in testing.
- Price history starts when you add a product. It can’t show what the price was last year.
- Prices are checked at least once a day, not every second, so alerts are not instant.
